"Dhaka Road Construction Division No-1" was established in 1950 under the Dhaka Zone / Circle of Roads and Highways Department (Sauj) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Later in 1992, the name of "Dhaka Road Construction Division No. 1" was renamed to "Road Division Dhaka". Under the Dhaka Road Division, there are 4 sub-divisions of Banani road sub-division-1, Banani road sub-division-2, Kalyanpur road sub-division and 1st row factory sub-division. The Roads Division Officer and staff have 127 posts. With the help of safe, cost effective, sustainable and modernization of highway infrastructure, the officials / employees of this department are working with utmost dedication to achieve the government's vision 2021 and achievement-2041 and hope that in the near future, the road infrastructure of Dhaka district is unique in all the districts of the country.
